Plastic Free July 2019 - So far so good!
We're back from holidays and have been working overtime to clear our backlog of orders (Big thanks to our patient Customers) for eco friendly, Educational Wooden Toys and Puzzles and we're proud to say we have achieved 100% plastic free in our packaging. From time to time we do use re-purposed or re-used plastic such as bubble wrap etc in our shipping or postage packaging. But this month we have been trialling different methods which appear to be working and based on Customer feedback we're considering implementing permanently, popcorn seems to be especially popular :)
After all Plastic Free Toys is a BIG part what we do here at greengrub Wooden Toys and Puzzles and the plastic free ethos extends through out our family owned small business.
This month we've also engaged with our Suppliers after spotting some opportunities they have to also support the drive towards plastic free supply chains here in Australia.

We're had positive responses and some good discussions and ideas sharing on how we can work together to significantly reduce the use of plastic in shipping our eco-friendly educational wooden toys and puzzles. Or alternatively use re-purposed or re-used plastic where alternatives aren't yet suitable or available.
We look forward to providing an update at the end of the month on our Plastic Free journey and providing some tips on what worked well and what didn't go to plan.
