Are handmade wooden toys good value?

In this day and age we are bombarded with mass produced, cheap, imported products at every turn. The Toy and Gift market for children and babies is no exception. Over the years the focus on quality, durability and sometimes safety has been brushed aside in the pursuit of efficiencies to lower production costs. Globally this has delivered a huge range of cheaply priced products but are they good value?

There is an old saying; price is what you pay, value is what you get.

Think of Value as the amount of enjoyment, entertainment and pleasure kids will get from the Toy. If a toy is priced cheaply but doesn't last more than one Christmas or Birthday is it really good value? Or if the materials it contains include non renewable and possibly toxic products is this good value?

We suggest the value of a locally made Toy, handmade from premium materials, focusing on safety, durability and stimulating a childs imagination provides value far beyond the initial purchase price.
