State education department's and indeed individual schools have done a good job in difficult circumstances in quickly developing content and systems to assist parents with the remote, home learning challenge. Our local, Rochedale South Primary School here in Queensland have done a great job.

Lets face it, us city and metropolitan populations haven't had to face the challenges mum, dads and kids living in outback communities have always had teaching Kids at home.

Shout out here to all the Australian School of the Air schools, of which the first was started by in 1950 by Adelaide Miethke, the then head of the South Australia branch of the Royal Flying Doctor’s service. These schools work with the challenge of remote learning everyday and it's just part of the normal learning and teaching jorney for outback Kids, parents and teachers. Check out the Alice Springs School of the Air as just one example of the great work these guys do. Or watch the video (far below) from NBN Co on the Mount Isa School of the Air.
