Digital Wallets and Apple Pay - a fantastic and safe way for making easy convenient payments when buying online with your iPhone, iPad, Mac or even your Apple Watch. Given outstanding Customer Service is our number one goal here at greengrub Toys we listened when Customers started asking if they could pay using a digital wallet, particularly Apple Pay.

Well being a bit "Old School", I was unsure what all this digital payment stuff and Apple Pay was but hey, I'm always up for a challenge so jumped in and started investigating. What I found was not many other online Wooden Toy Stores and Puzzle Shops were offering this payment type so I though why not let's give it a try and show the other how it's done! Full instructions are towards the end of this Blog.

Greengrub Wooden Toys and Puzzles Australia now accepts Apply Pay

Within our wooden toy store online checkout we already offer the following payment and shipping options but these didn't suit our younger Millennials or Gen "Y" Customers (aged 18-29) Customers:

Payments

  1. Afterpay - shop now, play now, pay later in 4 easy instalments;
  2. PayPal - manage all your payments in one place;
  3. Credit and Debit Cards - Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discovery
  4. Direct Bank Transfer

Shipping/ Postage

  1. Maximum $9.95 Flat Rate (per order) shipping or postage Australia Wide on orders up to $150
  2. FREE Shipping on Orders over $150 in value
  3. FREE Local Pickup from Rochedale South (Qld)

If you are like I was; not knowing much about this digital wallet stuff, I'm better at making handmade wooden toys then technology :) , and living in Australia check out the short article 'What is a Digital Wallet' from Canstar - it's available HERE and well worth the read.

Traditional Wooden Toys and Puzzles Australia with Digital Wallet Payments

I actually found adding Apple Pay to our online toy store was reasonably easy as payments are processed via our regular, globally leading payment platform, Stripe and it only took a few clicks to link it all up.

For Customers using Apple Pay is even easier and I guess that's why so many wanted it. Here's the brief steps from Apple's website below or you can visit Apples Apple Pay page for more info HERE:

Pay on the web in Apple's Safari web browser using:

Your iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap the Apple Pay button.
  2. Check your billing, shipping, and contact information. If you want to pay with a different card, tap next icon next to your card.
  3. If you need to, enter your billing, shipping, and contact information.
  4. When you’re ready, make your purchase and confirm the payment.
    • iPhone X or later or iPad with Face ID: Double-click the side button, then use Face ID or your passcode.
    • iPhone 8 or earlier or iPad without Face ID: Use Touch ID or your passcode.
    • Apple Watch: Double-click the side button.
  5. When your payment is successful, you’ll see Done and a checkmark on the screen.

Your Mac with Touch ID

  1. Tap the Apple Pay button.
  2. Check your billing, shipping, and contact information. To pay with a different card instead of your default card, click Expand menu icon next to your default card and select the card you want to use.
  3. If you need to, enter your billing, shipping, and contact information.
  4. When you're ready, make your purchase. Follow the prompts on the Touch Bar and place your finger on Touch ID. If Touch ID is off, tap the Apple Pay icon on the Touch Bar and follow the prompts on the screen. When your payment is successful, you'll see Done and a checkmark on the screen.

Digital wallets and Apple Pay - that's another one we've delivered to Customer's which I wouldn't have thought of without some gentle prodding from Customer feedback. Keep it coming, I love hearing what we can do better or improve on.

Take care and enjoy the countdown to the end of February with heaps of fun playtime.

Cheers
