About Us

greengrub Wooden Toys is a local family owned small business passionate about the environment and sharing high quality, educational wooden toys, games and puzzles with families. My name is Greg, I’m a woodworking artisan making Australian handmade wooden toys for kids for over 25 years and the founder of greengrub Toys. Together with my wife and family we launched a Brisbane based online toy store and in 2014 and started sharing our unique Australian made bamboo wooden toys with families Australia wide. We have since expanded and now stock other sustainably made and ethically produced wooden toy, game and puzzle brands from global producers.

greengrub Wooden Toys range started with our own Australian made wooden toys and has continued to expand, now including educational wooden toys, games and puzzles made by global companies sharing greengrub’s passion. Alongside these additional brands however, we continue to handcraft all greengrub branded wooden toys in our toy workshop in Brisbane and enjoy showcasing our toy designs and unique characteristics of our bamboo toy creations. Our dedication to providing families with high quality, safe, sustainable and ethically produced toys, jigsaw puzzles and games for kids aged 0-10 years remains unwavering.

Being a local, family owned small business sharing quality educational kid’s items; we believe we have a responsibility to improve the environment for our children and future generations. Our simple Sustainability Pledge - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, ensures we evaluate everything we do to minimise our environmental footprint. In making our own greengrub brand of toys we've found many ways to put this into practice such as using sustainable raw materials, enviro friendly packaging, 100% solar generated electricity (we have our own off-grid system) and composting our waste sawdust.

We believe in supporting Communities and Charity Groups which help those less fortunate than ourselves.
